Tablino (i), parete E, tratto S della lunetta: il cesto rovesciato è di forma tronco-conica diversa da quella del-l'altro che sembra emisferico: accanto all'uva si riconoscono due melagrane, altro frutto tipico della zona vesuviana. Si ricorda a tal proposito il ritrovamento di una notevole quantità di melograni messi a maturare tra le stuoie, nella Villa di L. Crassius Tertius a Oplontis durante gli scavi dei recenti anni 80. Il fascio appoggiato alla base è stato definito dal Trendelenburg "di cereali", e dal Barone "di erba che non ben si distingue", potrebbe perciò trattarsi di spighe non mature o piuttosto di un mazzo di asparagi che ricorre più volte nelle nature morte pompeiane, per esempio nella Casa dei Vettii, VI 15, 1 (v. voi. V, p. 538, figg. 118) o nel Tempio di Iside, Vili 7, 28. 79 N60421

Tablinum (i), E wall, S section of the lunette: the overturned basket has a truncated conical shape different from that of the other one which seems hemispherical: next to the grapes, two pomegranates can be recognized, another typical fruit of the Vesuvian area. In this regard, we recall the discovery of a considerable quantity of pomegranates left to ripen among the mats, in the Villa of L. Crassius Tertius in Oplontis during the excavations of the recent 80s. ", and from the Baron "of grass that is not well distinguished", it could therefore be a question of unripe ears or rather of a bunch of asparagus that recurs several times in Pompeian still lifes, for example in the Casa dei Vettii, VI 15, 1 ( see vol.
